Arkady Bulk Feed Store

This project consisted of a 110,000 square foot bulk feed store and ancillary weigh bridge offices at the Port of Cork’s Deep-Water berth in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

M&E Services were provided throughout but of particular interest within this project was the meeting of the requirements of ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, EN 61241-1:2004 and EN 60598 Part 2.22 and adhering all equipment specificed for use in Zone 21 areas, i.e., “A place in which an explosive atmosphere, in the form of a cloud of combustible dust in air, is likely to occur occasionally in normal operation.”
