The existing building was extended to facilitate two pairs of changing rooms linked by shared showers, an accessible changing room, a referee room, toilets and storage. The facilities are universally accessible.
Hot water is provided by an exhaust air heat Pump which takes its energy from stale warm air within the building, more specifically the shower & areas and then dumps the waste air externally. Heat pumps provide significant savings over non-renewable energy sources such as gas boilers/immersion heaters.
